Little Fighter 2 (LF2) is a popular freeware fighting game for Windows. LF2 was created by Marti Wong and Starsky Wong in 1999. Its popularity has been substantial thanks to its simple yet addictive gameplay, its great replay ability and free at the point of use availability. The game can have up to 4 human players on one computer and 8 characters in network play at one time. Game modes include VS mode, Stage mode (where 1 or more players move through the environment killing increasing numbers and difficulties of enemies), Championship mode and Battle mode (involving mass armies led by a player).

Legends is a fast-paced first-person-perspective online multiplayer game released as freeware (software license). The game is designed to take advantage of the beautiful environments available from the Torque engine it is based on, while still offering the breakneck pacing and variety of styles available from such classics as Quake and Tribes.
Gameplay is not the strafe-strafe-jump-strafe-shoot-strafe-run-like-hell style a lot of games espouse; the addition of a jetpack adds a third dimension of mobility that makes skill, forethought, and restraint necessities to winning.

License: Free DownloadIf you are looking for a space-shooter game with a dose of humor, turn to Chicken Invaders. True to its name, this program is similar to Space Invaders, only you must blast chickens instead of aliens and avoid eggs instead of missiles. Other than that twist, gameplay is rather standard for this type of program, although the chickens fly in different formations as you go deeper into the game. We liked both the graphics and the music, but we would have appreciated the ability to turn the latter down or disable it entirely. While we re on the subject, a lack of features is Chicken Invaders weakest point; you won t find a single option for customizing the game other than the ability to set the detail level. Still, since it is free and fun to play, we think a wide range of users will appreciate decimating their fowl foes in this game.

Alien Arena 2008 is a free, stand-alone deathmatch game based on source code released by id Software. Begun by COR Entertainment in 2004, the game combines a 1950s-era sci-fi atmosphere with gameplay similar to the Quake, Doom, and Unreal Tournament series. Alien Arena focuses mainly on online multiplayer action, although it does contain single-player campaigns against bots.
